Audiences
Primmel serves five distinct audiences. Each has a different relationship to the standard, different tools, and different goals.
The five audiences
| Audience | Role | What they do |
|---|---|---|
| Publishers | Standards bodies, consortia, regulators | Author and publish reference models |
| Readers | Consumers, evaluators | Read, interact with, and evaluate a published standard |
| Implementers | Organisations | Adopt, import, customize, and map an implementation |
| Operators | Production users | Run the implementation and store evidence |
| Auditors | Compliance verifiers | Navigate the standard, correlate via maps, view evidence |
How they relate
The Auditor role is notable: it inherits capabilities from both
Readers (standard navigation) and Operators (evidence viewing), and
adds its own distinct skill — correlating across .prm mappings.
Tools built for Readers and Operators can be reused by Auditors without modification.
